As the Commercial Subcontract Manager, you will be responsible for organizing all commercial tasks and activities required to fulfill the contractual obligations of the project with the Owner (Prime) and Key Suppliers.

Responsibilities:
- Commercial responsibility for the Tier 1 Contract (Prime Contract)
- Oversees major supply chain partners and manages overall contract with support from the project team
- Manages risk and changes that could impact the project
- Ensures that issues are processed in due time in the sense of the overall project success and in accordance with the contract
- Coordinates and steers all commercial project activities
- Ensures optimum project results based on the agreed overall project objectives in cooperation with the Project Manager and Vice President Offshore Wind
- Ensures that the contractual claims of RDC are observed and enforced in the communication with business partners
- Responsible for commercial settlement of warranty claims inasmuch as required
- Approves payment transactions
Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Structural, or similar field preferred, will consider a combination of education and relevant experience
- 10 plus years of related project management experience in construction, mechanical, civil structural, or similar utility industries preferred
- PMP Preferred
- Solid ability in researching, analysis, and planning; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task with strong attention to details and excellent follow through to ensure successful projects every time. Strong budgeting, decision-making skills. Ability to read contracts; proficiency in change order pricing; ability to be prepared for any event that could potentially knock the project off course
- Excellent MS Office, with contract management software skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills; able to present well, mentor others, and collaborate with vendors and subcontractors in a professional way.
- Strong customer focus and leadership skills required; flexible, able to handle multiple projects and details seamlessly; takes initiative and can execute projects well; able to negotiate with suppliers; reliable; open-minded, able to work through conflict. Collaborative, flexible and adaptable to change, supportive of a team. Strong safety & compliance minded
