Union Foreman, Natural Gas Main Installation  

Rate – $40.15/HR

The new hire will be required to join Laborer’s Internation Union of North America (LIUNA), Local 57 in Pennsylvania.  Rate of pay $40.15/hour, plus union benefits.  A company take-home vehicle will be provided.

As a Union Natural Gas Main Installation Foreman, you will have overall responsibility of a 3-4 man crew installing gas pipe on the PECO Energy system. A good candidate should have 2+ years of experience as a qualified foreman, a safety focused attitude, and the ability to operate small equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout a job, organize and lead a crew installing gas main
  • Always prioritizes safety throughout the operation for yourself and others in accordance with regulatory statutes and Riggs Distler Safety standards
  • Complete quality and safety related paperwork
  • Be able to read and comprehend construction drawings, utility markouts and document the work completed each day on a timesheet
  • Create an as-built sketch of work completed
  • Using hand tools (i.e. shovel, rake), and equipment specific to construction
  • Drive company vehicle
  • Assists laborers & operators with duties
  • Operates small equipment (ie. Jackhammers, wacker/tampers, etc.)
  • 100% local travel to construction sites is required for this role
  • The foreman is ultimately responsible for safety and quality, so we are seeking individuals with high integrity that have good attention to detail

Education, Skills, Experience Needed:

  • Fully operator qualified (OQ’ed) on the PECO system. If candidate is qualified on another system, we will consider the candidate, but they will have to test with PECO.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Construction related experience
  • Valid Driver’s License. Class A CDL is a plus, but not required
  • Must possess strong verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical operating procedures and processes. Good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Performing duties primarily requiring physical exertion
