Riggs Distler Honored for Safety Excellence by ACCNJ and AGC of America

The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ), the state chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), represents one of the oldest and most respected construction associations in the country. ACCNJ’s members are responsible for billions of dollars in public and private construction projects each year and employ tens of thousands of skilled craftworkers across New Jersey.

ACCNJ members are known for their commitment to quality, integrity, and responsibility at every stage of the construction process. A core focus of the Association is jobsite safety: safeguarding workers, protecting the public, preventing delays, and promoting the physical and mental well-being of everyone involved in the industry.

Each year, ACCNJ recognizes member companies who go above and beyond in their safety efforts through its Annual Safety Awards Program. Honorees are evaluated based on lost-time incidents relative to total labor-hours worked, with performance benchmarked against national averages.

We’re proud to announce that Riggs Distler received the ACCNJ Safety Award for “Lost Workday Incidence Rate Below the National Average for the 2024 Calendar Year”. The award was presented on July 11, 2025, at the ACCNJ Annual Safety Awards event.

Additionally, we were honored with a Certificate of Commendation from the Associated General Contractors of America in recognition of our exceptional safety record in Utility Infrastructure throughout 2024.
