Riggs Distler’s Heavy Industrial and Generation (HIG) group is proud to support the next generation of skilled workers through a workforce development initiative led by DCO Energy, LLC / JINGOLI in partnership with the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA).
On July 10th, we had the honor of welcoming students from the Competitive Edge Train-to-Hire Program to our Cinnaminson Fabrication Shop for an in-depth look at our operations. Senior VP of HIG Craig Belfatto Jr. kicked off the visit with a warm welcome, followed by a presentation on QA/QC, a safety overview, and a guided tour through our fabrication shop and yard. Students had the opportunity to see our welders in action and gain firsthand insight into the precision, safety, and high standards that define our work.
After the tour, students joined us at Riggs Distler’s headquarters for lunch and a presentation showcasing our capabilities across sectors.
This 12-week program equips Atlantic City residents with the knowledge and tools they need to pursue meaningful, long-term careers. Participants gain hands-on experience while learning:
• Construction Fundamentals
• Workplace Safety
• Employability and Life Skills
• Financial Management and Literacy
• Case Management and Support Services
We’re proud to contribute to DCO/Jingoli and CRDA’s initiative that sparks long-term interest in rewarding careers that build and power our communities. By providing real-world exposure and mentorship, we hope to inspire these trainees to see the trades as a pathway to long-term success.
