As a Vehicle Upfitter / Warehouseman. This role is primarily focused on upfitting and preparing fleet vehicles for field use, while also assisting with warehouse and material support activities. The salary range is $20.00/ hr. – $30.00 / hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Install fleet equipment including labels, toolboxes, ladder racks, shelving, strobe lighting, backup alarms, GPS units, and accessories
  • Perform 12V electrical wiring, testing, and basic troubleshooting
  • Read and follow build sheets, work orders, and wiring diagrams
  • Drill, mount, fabricate, and secure equipment to company and safety standards
  • Inspect completed vehicles for quality, functionality, and jobsite readiness
  • Assist with fleet vehicle preparation prior to deployment to construction sites
  • Perform general inspection of tools before moving to/from stock locations to ensure all tools going into and returning from the field are clean and in safe working order
  • Reviews project orders, confirms accuracy of delivery and loads/unloads tools in efficient manner
  • Retrieves tools according to Riggs Distler’s established system for shelving and storage to ensure the correct items are selected each and every time
  • Verifies, delivers and stages requested tools in warehouse areas to ensure workers have the correct items to support project activities accurately and efficiently
  • Reviews orders, verifies label information, and packages tools safely and accurately to ensure shipping has the appropriate inventory and paperwork for processing project orders
  • Maintains accurate product identification and lot codes to ensure tools are in proper locations and available for use
  • Collaborates with Tool Room Manager to monitor supply levels and assists with periodic inventory counts to ensure the proper tools are on-hand to fulfill project orders timely
  • Assists with organizing, maintaining and locating existing or misclassified inventory to ensure appropriate tools are on-hand or need to be ordered to meet project requests
  • Secures loaded tools in trucks by installing strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit

Education, Skills, Experience Needed:

  • Mechanical aptitude with basic automotive electrical knowledge
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse and shop environments
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Vehicle upfitting, fleet, or automotive installation experience
  • Construction warehouse, yard, or material handling experience
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
  • Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and jobsite logistics
