National Powerline Reaches 3-Year Safety Excellence Milestone

Posted on May 7, 2021 in News
Congratulations to our National Powerline team for three consecutive years without a recordable event, an extraordinary milestone considering the high level of risk involved in the work that we do.
This achievement is a direct result of hard work to remain proactive. Focusing on leading indicators like safety training, pre-job briefings, safety communications, and audits played a key role, and throughout 2020, National Powerline demonstrated exemplary safety and quality performance in our leading indicator programs.
- 11,971 Think SAFE Observations from crew member lead safety observers
- 5,500 Job Hazard Assessments
- 94% Toolbox Talk engagement
Our leaders set a great example by encouraging a questioning attitude toward safety, emphasizing the value of situational awareness, and empowering Stop Work Authority. Frontline leaders have been mentored to understand the risks associated with the work being performed, initiate timely corrective actions for safety hazards, and to never proceed when uncertain when it comes to safety and quality.
But it takes crew members – day in and day out – watching out for each other to achieve such great success in safety. And that’s what the employees of National Powerline have done.
We’re extremely proud of the National Powerline team for this accomplishment and their ongoing commitment to Safety and Quality. Congratulations!
