Our team upgraded an aging tower infrastructure along an important 115kV electrical transmission line in New Hampshire. We completed the project on schedule, ensuring safe operation and reliable electrical service for power users.

In Massachusetts, we were contracted to reconductor approximately 20 miles of 13kV and 23kV circuits and replace over 500 wooden utility poles for an electric utility operating.

We replaced an aging 138kV transmission line stretching 24 miles across northeastern Illinois. Working under a tight schedule, we were selected to rebuild and reconductor the entire line.

We delivered improved electric infrastructure to utility customers by rebuilding 30 miles of 138 and 69kV transmission lines.

In New Jersey, we upgraded a 41-mile 230kV/138kV transmission line, strengthening the regional electrical grid and withstanding weather damage.

In New Jersey, we built a 69kV substation in 4 months ultimately improving electrical service to businesses and residents.

In Virginia, from 2008 to 2018, we were the contractor of choice (COC), providing the manpower necessary to perform various preventative maintenance and system reliability upgrades across our host utility’s service territory.

Since 2008, our team has been working to resolve power connectivity issues for Pennsylvania residents by replacing and upgrading an aging electrical network.

In Pennsylvania, we were contracted to replace over 220,000 electric meters with new smart meters and perform associated equipment repairs. End users and the client benefit from smart meters that provide more accurate usage information, are easier to service and repair, and improve safety for technicians and utility employees.

From 2018 to 2019, we were contracted to provide environmental matting and environmental controls for the 61/62 Aquidneck Island Reliability Project, which upgraded and improved power distribution for residents and businesses.

From 2021 to 2025, we are the contractor of choice for all installation, maintenance, and repair work performed on our client’s electrical transmission system, a major East Coast power provider.

Relocating a 15 kV underground system beneath a former steel mill using horizontal directional drilling (HDD) under train tracks and installing switches, raceways, and 130,000 feet of cable.

In 2020, our environmental matting team was contracted to build roads and provide extensive matting in support of a project to upgrade an aging electric transmission line in New Hampshire.

In 2020, we assembled eight electric transmission towers, providing increased reliability and improved electrical service for citizens and businesses throughout coastal southern New Jersey.

Our environmental matting team was able to beat the accelerated project schedule, completing the road and securing access to the client’s infrastructure in time for them to perform assessments before the scheduled upgrades, all while protecting the surrounding environment.

The Keyport – Belford New 34.5kV Line project involved constructing a new transmission line spanning approximately 5.63 miles, with comprehensive substation, distribution, and transmission work. Riggs Distler served as the general contractor, overseeing all project aspects under one hat.

This project replaced 445 wood structures with steel monopoles along the Garden State Parkway, using helicopter construction techniques for 14 pole installations to rebuild the 69 kV line.

We conduct facility upgrades, system reliability improvements, capital expenditures, storm restoration efforts, and Department of Transportation projects across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Since 2015, our services provide end users with more reliable power.

From 2018 to 2020, we were the contractor of choice to a Maryland-based utility’s outdoor lighting group. We were responsible for providing and maintaining reliable outdoor street lighting for the client’s residential, commercial, and municipal customers.

Our Underground Utility division was tasked with the installation of over 33,000 smart nodes in Maryland street lighting fixtures throughout 2023.

We provide 24-hour, on-call coverage for the host utility’s entire service territory. We’ve been the sole contractor since 2009, performing all maintenance and reliability work necessary throughout Connecticut, New York, and Maine.

We are currently the contractor of choice for all electrical substation work on behalf of a major regional utility operating throughout New Jersey.

From 2021 to 2025, we served as the contractor of choice for substation-related civil and electrical work on behalf of a major East Coast power provider. We delivered a streamlined, single-source answer to all client’s substation installation, maintenance, and repair needs.

In 2021-2022, we performed environmental matting and heavy civil services in support of a SkyWrap project to upgrade fiber optic cables. We successfully delivered results by providing adequate road building and safe passages across various environmentally sensitive areas via matted access/work pads.

In 2017, we completed a reconductoring project for a transmission line spanning the Susquehanna River. Our work helps ensure a consistent and stable source of power for end users in this region.

Our Substation group completed the Texas Ave. 69kV Upgrade Project in 2023 in Lawrence Township, NJ. This award-winning project was a significant endeavor, with a comprehensive scope that included the installation of a variety of critical infrastructure components.

In 2019 to 2020, we were contracted by a major power provider to provide environmental matting services in support of a 315 & 303/327/3520kV transmission line refurbishment in New England.

We added a third transformer bank, plus circuit breakers, disconnect switches, a CTPT Combo metering unit, and a new control building in Mahopac, boosting capacity and resilience for 35,000 customers.

In 2020, we performed environmental matting and civil services in support of a project to upgrade aging and damaged support structures along electric distribution lines in the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire. We completed the project on schedule and without disruption to the local community.
