Rate – $38.13/HR

The new hire will be required to join the IBEW, Local 70 in Maryland.  Rate of pay $38.13/hour, plus union benefits.  A company take-home vehicle will be provided.

As a Union Natural Gas Service Foreman, you will have overall responsibility of a 3-4 man crew renewing gas services on the BGE system. A good candidate should have 2+ years of experience as a qualified foreman, a safety focused attitude, and the ability to operate small equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate mini-excavator and skid steers
• Complete quality and safety related paperwork
• Using hand tools (i.e. shovel, rake), and equipment specific to construction
• Drive company vehicle
• Assists laborers & operators with duties
• Operates small equipment (ie. Jackhammers, wacker/tampers, etc.)
• Always prioritizes safety throughout the operation for yourself and others in accordance with regulatory statutes and Riggs Distler Safety standards
• Performs related work as required
• 100% local travel to construction sites is required for this role

Education, Skills, Experience Needed:

• Fully operator qualified (OQ’ed) on the BGE system.
• High School Diploma or GED required; will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Construction related experience
• Valid Driver’s License. Class A CDL a plus
• Good analytical skills
• Basic knowledge of mechanical operating procedures and processes. Good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Performing duties primarily requiring physical exertion
