Riggs Supports Local Utility Career Week
Riggs Distler supported NJUA‘s 5th annual Utility Job and Career Fair in Cumberland and Atlantic Counties. As a sole-source utility construction service provider, Riggs Distler’s capabilities span the full project lifecycle. In other words, our work includes power generation to meter services for homes and buildings. Our knowledge of the industry allows us to provide students with a wide range of information and advice for their future. Above all, the goal is introduce infrastructure career opportunities to high school students at the career fair.
Guest speakers in the water, energy and telecommunications fields addressed the students. In addition, they encouraged students to learn more about infrastructure careers. Interactive tables indoors and truck tours outdoors were provided for student engagement. Riggs Distler employees supplied a straight bucket truck for the outdoor tour. One of our project Managers and Journeymen Lineman from our Distribution group was on hand to answer questions and share their experiences in the industry. Events took place at Cumberland County Vo-Tech and Atlantic County Vo-Tech.
